2015 was a record year for Croatian tourism Industry and according to Eurostat’s article published on January 26, 2016, which focuses on the short-term evolutions in the nights spent at tourist accommodation in the European Union (EU), Croatia now ranks No. 8 in the EU when it comes to overnight stays.
At least one business table where thé country made the top 10, and considering great announcements form all major markets, there results might be better in 2016.
According to Eurostat, in the period between January and October 2016 Croatia will be one of the EU countries with the highest percentage of growth (7,9%).

Spain took the lead with 421 million overnights, followed by France in second place (413 million). Italy, Germany, Greece, Netherlands and Austria all ranked top before Croatia.
