The shortage of labor is greater than ever.200 occupations were identified by the Employment Service. The emphasis is on the service sector with teachers and health professionals. For the first time in ages, so does demand for industrial workers.
But the social worker, the profession where the shortage has increased the most since the spring.
There will be many job openings, with chances for very many to establish themselves in the labor market, says Håkan Gustavsson, an analyst at the Employment Service.
The lack of teachers and health professionals are at record levels. Many employers have difficulty recruiting. One consequence is that it broadens their recruitment, and find other professionals to hire for example personal assistants and student assistants.
Without secondary school EDUCATION it is very difficult to enter the labor market. Complete secondary education is simply a prerequisite to have good job prospects. We see continued intense competition for jobs in many of the professions that require no training, says Håkan Gustavsson.
Four secondary education almost guaranteed to give jobs are construction, automotive and transportation, industrial engineering program and especially health care.
