4500 homes suffer power cuts as storm Freja hits Sweden
Around 4 500 households were suffering from power cuts on Sunday morning after storm Freja hit southern Sweden around midnight.
Falling scaffolding hit eight cars in Helsingborg, blown down trees
blocked roads and roofs were damaged when storm Freja hit southern
Sweden around midnight.

Wind speeds of 38 metres per second were measured on the Bohuslän coast. "That's hurricane level, and we have storm wind speeds in Skåne and Halland," Sandra Andersson from the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) told TT.
The Öresund bridge between Malmö and Copenhagen was closed because of the strong winds, but reopened at 6.30am. Although many power lines have been buried in the ground after devastating storm Gudrun ten years ago, fallen trees had nonetheless caused electricity shortfall for 4 500 households. They were still suffering from it on Sunday morning.
Freja is now moving towards the east, and a milder version of the storm will sweep across Blekinge, Kalmar, Öland and Gotland during Sunday.
