One soldier killed, one policeman wounded in PKK clashes

A soldier and  one police officer has been killed and wounded respectively  in clashes with the outlawed PKK in Turkish southeastern Hakkari province.

PKK militants had launched an attack with long-barreled weapons on a military convoy travelling within thé region from Yüksekova to the Şemdinli district on 10th of November. 


Reports According to the state-run Anadolu Agency States the convoy was attacked in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood and clashes ensued afterwards between militants and the district security forces that were dispatched to the area. 

Security forces launched a wide-s-ale operation to apprehend the militants while the wounded officer has been taken to Hospital for treatment.
